the web page is up and running .thanks Stephen
the bikes are getting sorted and have made a decision on which model to take Just have to sell this one But hopefully as funds become available this will happen
will update as as things progress
After much research i have narrowed down my bike choice to the Kawasaki Versys 650 .Looks like it will handle a bit of off road but keep up on the motorways and also be fun on the twisty windy roads. It has a large range of accessories and is a very popular bike in Europe so if the unthinkable happens and one of then brakes down it should be easy to get repaired .
A massive thanks to the guys at Resolute jeans for hooking us up with a couple of pairs of their top quality Kevlar jeans .That will give me piece of mind ride through Russia knowing I'm protected from any unforeseen mishap Click on the banner to visit the Resolute jeans web site
Good Luck with the journey. Shipping to Busan (South Korea) then the Ferry to Vlad is the best way to go. If you need any admin support or guidance for entering South Korea, contact Wendy Choi at Aero International. She's amazing and has helped 1,000's of overland travelers. For support entering Vladivostok, which you will probably need because inRussia, little is ever as easy as it seems, contact the Iron Tigers @ Vlad Moto. They'll be happy to help you with the paperwork and give you a free room above their workshops in Vladivostok (The Box). The Iron Tigers will also give you 'Contacts' for other Motorcycle Clubs who can help you along the Amur Highway to Chita, which I suspect is the route you'll take. (Entering Russia, make sure the 'Temporary Import Document' for the Kawasaki matches the duration of you personal Visa for Russia). Most of all, just smile and relax, it's a lot easier than you think. You're on HOLIDAY .. Smile and Wave.
